Can’t make sense of credit card boilerplate? Good information design can clarify even the most inscrutable consumer communications. CitizenR&D collaborated with The Public Design Lab to redesign disclosure information on credit card solicitations. An editorial in The New York Times (May 24, 2009) presented their prototype for a new, easy-to-read, more citizen-friendly format that highlights the need for better federal regulation of credit industry communications.
