New York’s state university system sought to create a greater sense of unity amongst its 64 campuses. To help achieve this goal, CitizenR&D assessed all aspects of the visitor experience at the Stony Brook campus, analyzing this site as a prototype for statewide standards. The wayfinding study recommends ways to enhance the campus's current nomenclature, signage, and mapping systems.
The campus has a wonderful graphics program in place designed by Milton Glaser.
